I love the atmosphere at the 31st St. location! Comfy chairs and a place where you can be alone or with a large group. The coffee is great and so are the fresh-baked bagels or muffins.
Incredible gem in Lawrence. Coffee is roasted in town, and the bagels... Omg the bagels!!! They're freshly made for Z's and they're so delicious. New York style with a fluffy inside and a chewy outside. The jalapeno cheese bagel toasted with cream cheese was too good!

Always a must when in town and sooo much better than grabbing something from Starbucks. I tend to not do a review unless I love the place, or it's terrible. Z's is one of my absolute fav coffee shops to visit whenever I'm in Lawrence. The coffee never disappoints and the breakfast selection is simple but delicious.
Nice little breakfast spot. Pancakes were great. It would be nice if coffee shops served real soda for those of us that tag along with our coffee loving friends.
This place and company is so wonderful! The atmosphere was so relaxing and comfortable. The staff was so kind. The coffee was made quickly, was a reasonable price and delicious! In addition to our wonderful experience as customers, while I was there I accidentally left my purse with my asthma inhaler there. We live three hours away and dreaded driving back. I contacted them and they were kind enough to mail me my bag to me at no charge saving us the 70 it would be to replace. Great people and customer service like that should be praised and rewarded! Please give them your business! They deserve it and you won’t be disappointed
I love their coffee! Menu is super creative. My favorite is the Stairway To Heaven drink. I used to visit Lawrence, KS as my daughter attended KU and I came upon this establishment by pure luck. I order their coffee beans in bulk now.
Amazingly Chill Coffee Shop The barista, Syd, was knowledgeable and courteous while guiding me through my coffee order. The atmosphere felt more naturally mellow than the run of the mill Starbucks. Best of all the coffee flavors are interesting and new! I will definitely be returning after Syd's exceptional customer service and coffee recommendations, seasonal and off-the-menu.
